Our exclusive review of this spa

If you’re looking for an urban oasis, you can do no better than to visit Revive Spa, located in Uptown.

A friendly front desk person made an excellent first impression, and once I was checked in, I was taken back to a nice waiting room with a warm ambiance. Soft music, warm-tone walls. I sipped cool water and browsed through their nice selection of magazines.

Skin Care
Nicole, my Skin Care Therapist for the day, welcomed me to Revive and took me to the treatment room. Nicole was very attentive - first, we went over the concerns I had related to my skin, and she sought out the various dry and oily areas, and then she quizzed me on any allergic reactions I might have to the various types of products. After a few more questions, she was sure - and so was I - that I’d be getting the best Revive Facial for my skin type.

Treatment Room
I lay on a heated bed in the treatment room, relaxing while my face and shoulders experienced bliss. The soft and subtle music and dim lights contributed to my feeling that I was experiencing an oasis of calm. Nicole was quiet, allowing me to lose myself in the experience.

The Facial
The Revive Facial consisted of cleansing, exfoliating, and rehydration of the skin. However, it was not all about face during this facial. Nicole massaged my head, massaged and treated my neck and shoulders, and finally lathered up my hands with lotion and inserted them into warm gloves to rehydrate .

After my facial was finished and I exited the treatment room, Nicole met me with a cold glass of water and a smile. She escorted me to the front desk and personally “checked me out” of the spa, rather than just dropping me off at the desk with an impersonal farewell.

At that time, she gave me my Revive Spa’s Your Personal Skincare Plan, specific to my face and my needs. On the back of my Plan were listed tips on how to have great looking skin.  Nicole had also selected a travel-size tote and stuffed it full of the products that she suggested I purchase, unique to my needs… However there was no exorbitant pressure to buy the tote or to return for the follow-up facial – which she suggested take place in four to six weeks.
