If your spouse doesn’t support your goal, it’s time for a talk. I’ve seen far too many clients struggle simply because they had no support at home. On the other hand, if your spouse will simply not support your fitness goal, it will likely be best to keep your program to yourself. Find support from somewhere else if needed. Keep in mind that your spouse or significant other may simply not have the drive, motivation, or desire to get fit. This cannot stop you from reaching your goal. You’ll likely provide an incentive, an inspiration for your loved one. When they see you getting in shape, they’re likely to decide they want to take part and get in shape as well.
