Mascara Application
Expert Tips: Makeup
Some of us struggle with the application of mascara and some of us are wonderful at the application. And yet there are some who seem to get more under their lower lashline then on their eyelashes. In a recent conversation with a MAC Cosmetic Artist, Mary-Ann offered these tips.
To apply your mascara, place the wand right at the base of your lashes (almost touching the inner rim of your lid), wiggle the wand, and then sweep upwards through the tips of the lashes. This deposits product at the base of your lashes to give them volume, and also threads the lashes into the wand.
You can keep the lower lashline clean and mascara-free, but she does recommend applying it there to frame the eyes. Use the tip of the wand in a back and forth motion (ie: nose to ear type of motion).
These techniques work with any type of mascara - does give volume and length.
