In the March 2009 of Women’s Health, Flaxseed oil supplements are noted to possibly improve dry, sensitive skin. Flaxseed has already been associated with lower levels of inflammation, but how much it could help skin was unclear. In one study, dry-skin sufferers who popped 2.2 grams of flaxseed oil had less redness, inflammation, and scaliness after 12 weeks - 82% less than people taking a placebo.
