Flaxseed has already been associated with lower levels of inflammation, but how much it could help skin was unclear. In one study, dry-skin sufferers who popped 2.2 grams of flaxseed oil had less redness, inflammation, and scaliness after 12 weeks - 82% less than people taking a placebo.
