Expert Tips: Health and fitness
Looking to boost your fitness and push yourself to the next level? Self Magazine recently published a short blurb regarding a study from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia related to exercise and music. This study finds that if you listen to your favorite music while resistance training you can help strengthen muscles faster than when you sweat in silence. “Exercises who heard a motivating mix while doing leg presses eked out about 16 more reps than did their music-free counterparts after four weeks.”
