Change Your Tune
Expert Tips: Health and fitness
As the new year approaches many of us reflect back on our workout routines and classes that we may or may not take. Many of us design our own workout programs and stick with that year after year and are not satisfied when we do not get the results we are looking for. Change! Change your workout routine. Add a spinning class, yoga class, pilates class or any of the choices you may have at your own gym. If you workout at home, buy a yoga DVD or other workout DVD and add that to your routine.
Our muscles get stuck in ruts just like our every day routines or our day at work. Change it up and you will see a bigger difference in the new year.
Experts suggest trying some of the new classes being introduced at clubs around the US.
*Zumba Latin rhythms with red-hot international dance steps to traditional cumbia, salsa, samba, and meringue music.
*Spinning Accelerator high intensity interval spinning combined with strength exercises targeting all muscle and skeletal strength through resistance training.
*Chi Kung a 5000 year old Chinese form of movement, stretching and breathing that is a foundation of western calisthenics, many martial arts and Chinese Medicine.
Have you taken a class at your gym that you love? Enjoy your new workout!
