Week 9 - Brick Wall
Beauty Blog: Health and Fitness
I am very happy that I have continued to workout on 6 days this week despite life’s challenges that have gotten in the way. However that is not the focus of my blog today. I have hit that brick wall that has not allowed me to drop any pounds this week and that stinks! I was on a roll and that roll hit the wall. I have been pushing myself and doing my workouts every day and eating well. I have gotten away from writing down everything I eat but I know pretty much that I have kept my calorie count where it needs to be… So I ask myself, what can I do to get past this point?
In my mind I think changing up my workout some and then adding more cardio. I think if I kick started my workouts this week and changed them up a little it might be exactly what I need. I know I am getting stronger because the amount of weight I am using with each exercise continues to increase. I can see the changes in areas of my body such as my legs and arms but am not getting the results I would like to see around my mid section. This is where doing more cardio comes into play. I know by doing a lot of cardio I can work on dropping the pounds I have around my mid section from being pregnant. I have to remind myself sometimes that my son is only 3 months old and that it will all come in time. I have done it before and I can do it again.
I started today off right by doing cardio the way I like it. I ran outside! I love to run outside when doing this part of my exercise routine. I do more, feel better, push myself more and like the results at the end. So I hope for more warm days this week so I can do my cardio outside and enjoy the fall weather.
How were your workouts this week? Have you hit that brick wall that I am speaking of? If you have, what did you do to get past it. Have a great workout this week!
