Week 12
Beauty Blog: Health and Fitness
This week has been good and bad. It was Thanksgiving this week and with that day comes some not so good eating habits. However my week started off great. I changed the days I run to Monday, Wednesday, Friday and this was a great change for me. I added a yoga class to my workout on Monday and oh what a workout that was. I started by running for 20 minutes and getting my 2 mile run out of the way. The yoga class was a great way for me to workout some issues with my body and see that there are other ways to get back into shape. I also realized that this yoga class will push me to do poses I never thought I could to before but I know that with practice I can. I look forward to the class again tomorrow.
I made sure I got in all my workouts this week. On Thursday I got up and got the food ready to host Thanksgiving at my home and then headed to the gym for my lower body. I really pushed myself this week with my weights. It had been a few weeks since I felt strong enough to go to the next level on weights. Well after my workout on Thursday and shopping on Friday I felt the workout from Thursday. I pushed myself to run on Friday and did not want to do it at all. Once I did the run, I was so happy that I did. I am glad I pushed myself to finish. The feeling that I got it done was so worth it.
I took my “normal” Saturday off from working out but was back at it again today. I love the way I feel after a workout even though there are days when I would rather not do it. I know with the holidays approaching and all that I have going on, making my workouts a priority is huge. I need to do the workouts to keep my stress level down and to reach my weight loss goal for the end of January. I am still trying to figure out how to get a spin class into my weekly workout. I know that I need to run at least 6-8 miles a week to drop the pounds that I want. This has done it in the past and will do it again.
I also plan to get a new “book” to record my workouts and eating. It is called a FitBook. Once I get it, I will share my thoughts and feelings on it. The other journal I was using just didn’t cut it after about 10 weeks.
Hope all of you had a great week. How was your workout? Let me know!
