Tri for Your Cause - Dolls for Daughters

I have signed up for Tri for Your Cause as a part of the Dolls for Daughters team. This event will take place September 11, 2010. I am only doing the bike and run portion of this event. I have done a Tri before and I didn’t enjoy the swimming at all. I was fine with the biking and the running but the swimming could have ruined the whole event for me. I am in better shape now then I was when I did the Tri before. I also hope and am planning to be in better shape than I am now.
The Duathlon is a 17 mile bike ride and a 3.1 mile run. I have been spinning a lot inside since January so I don’t think the bike will be too bad and the run will be easy. I would like to do some training where I ride the 17 miles and then run 3.1 miles. I think this will really help me get in shape for this event. Other than doing this event for the fun of it and because I am wanting to more races, I am doing it to support the nonprofit I created in memory of my daughter Kenzi who was born sleeping on January 23, 2007.
