Ingredients that have negative health effects, pollute our water and environment do not belong in our lives. 1. FRAGRANCE- Usually made up of thousands of chemicals that can cause many health problems such as cancer and asthma. PHTHALATES- Another troublesome chemical that is commonly used with fragrances and is linked to birth defects.
2. PROPYLENE GLYCOL AND BUTYLENE GLYCOL- Also found in windshield wiper fluid. So toxic that it can cause brain, liver and kidney abnormalities.
3. DEA, TEA, MEA- They are hormone disrupting and when combined in a formula can create cancer forming nitrates.
4. SLS & SLES (Sodium lauryl and laureth sulfate)- Strong detergent and degreasers. Can cause eye damage, immune system damage and can be retained in organs.
5. DMDM & UREA- Preservatives that release formaldehyde, causing allergies, immune dysfunction, cancer and more!
6. POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL (PEG)-Petroleum derived and is carcinogenic, dehydrates the skin, increases signs of aging and leaves skin vulnerable to disease.
7. PARABENS-Preservatives that are linked to hormone disruption, breast cancer and heart problems.
8. FD&C COLORS- Synthetic pigments from coal that deposit toxins into the skin. Studies show nearly all to be cancer causing.
9. MINERAL OIL- Petroleum derived, coats the skin like plastic wrap, clogging pores, causing acne and trapping toxins.
10. ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL- Petroleum derived, dries and irritates the skin, stripping its moisture and immune barrier.
