Nutriganics from The Body Shop
Beauty Blog: Skin care
I recently ran out of many of my Sanitas Skincare Products that I have been using for close to a year now and decided I would try some new skincare products. I decided on The Body Shop’s new Nutriganics™ skincare line. I spent a lot of time in the store talking to the manager before settling on the Nutriganics™ line.
The products that I selected were the Nutriganics™ Foaming Facial Wash, Nutriganics™ Refreshing Toner, and Nutriganics™ Smoothing Night Cream.
I decided against getting two moisturizers because I don’t like having that many products to worry about plus the manager that I worked with said he used the Smoothing Night Cream for both day and night. I tried the products for several weeks before I decided that I was okay with two out of the three products. The Foaming Facial Wash does a nice job cleaning my face and I like the foaming feature to the product. It also does not seem to dry out my face. The scent to this wash is also very mild which is a plus in my book. The Refreshing Toner seems to do the job that most toners do and does it well. It has a bit of a stronger scent when you first put in on the cotton ball but the scent fades. I think this product if used every day - which I didn’t and don’t do - could possibly dry out my face.
The product that I did not like and I did return was the Smoothing Night Cream. This product never left my face feeling hydrated, it often left my face feeling dry and craving more moisture. This is not something I like to experience and not something I want to battle with winter approaching. So this product was returned for another product that I am hoping will keep my face hydrated. If not, I will return all of this line and either look for a new product line or return to using my Sanitas Skincare products.
Here is what The Body Shop says about the products:
- Nutriganics™ Foaming Facial Wash: Best if you want to: Gently wash away makeup and impurities with an instantly foaming facial cleanser that softens skin while leaving it looking healthy and revitalized and feeling clean and refreshed.
- Nutriganics™ Refreshing Toner: Best if you want to: Remove makeup and impurities while leaving skin looking healthy and revitalized with a non-drying toner.
- Nutriganics™ Smoothing Night Cream: Best if you want to: Reduce the appearance of fine lines, improve skin’s elasticity and protect your skin against sun damage with a luxuriously rich moisturizer that quickly absorbs into the skin and moisturizes for up to 12 hours.
I do not agree with their claim that the Smoothing Night Cream provides a ton of moisture but you might need to try it for yourself.
