Merry Christmas Everyone! Sorry for being MIA. A lot has been going on and I have been working on a great project. Many of you know I am the founder of Dolls for Daughters, a non-profit that gives new dolls to girls in need in the greater Denver Community. This year has been very busy for us and for me. We collected and donated over 1000 new dolls this holiday season.
I may have been out of site but I still have been working out at least 5 days a week. I need to make sure I stay on the 6 day a week workout and really push myself or I am never going to drop the extra pounds. Many say the holidays are not the time to work on “weight loss” however I am still doing what I have been doing for the past few months and it has nothing to do with the holidays. I do feel more tempted with all the treats - that is why I sent many of them home with family this evening.
I was very close to my pre-pregnancy weight but then I just couldn’t drop those final pounds. It has really caused me some mental stress as I try to figure out why I cannot make it happen and why I cannot reach my total weight loss goal. I have been working out a lot and have pushed myself but it just isn’t coming off like it did a year ago. I have the weight in my belly and it kills me. Could I maybe move some of that to my butt? Whatever the reason, I am going to do my best to figure it out and change things up.
I was better with my eating when I wrote everything down so I am now waiting for my fitbook to arrive in the mail to see if I like the layout of this book to record my food and exercise. I have wanted to eat at home more because I am sick of eating out and not knowing what is really good for me. Things look and sound good but how much salt might be in there? You only know if you make it yourself. I am also getting sick of Subway - I eat there for lunch several times a week. Another thing I am going to do is take up the kettlebell classes I was doing before I became pregnant. I think this will help slim the middle.
How are your workouts going? Great I hope. Find some support during the holidays so you stay on track and don’t forget to take care of your body with exercise, sleep and plenty of water. I know I need to do all of those things myself.
