MAC Shadows
Beauty Blog: Make-up
Many of you out there love MAC Cosmetic products as much or even more than I do. When I look in my make-up drawer it is filled with MAC products, especially MAC Eye Shadows. I have a lot of shadows that are in their own cases and I also have two palettes full of shadows. I usually prefer to buy my shadows to fit in the palettes but if you shop MAC you know that this is not always something that can be done. There are certain shades that you must purchase in just as the eye shadow. If you want to spend the time and energy at home, I know it is possible to remove the shadow from the container and put it into your palette. I however never do that and I don’t plan to make the time.
I recently purchased four new shades from MAC. As usually for MAC, I was not disappointed. Here are the colors I bought, remember they sell for $14.50 each.
According to MAC’s website, their Eye Shadow is a Highly-pigmented powder. Applies evenly, blends well.
- Dear Cupcake is a mid-tone pink coral with gold pearl (Satin) this is more of a richer pink/coral color, very pretty on entire lid or on lower lid with a lighter color on top part of lid
- Et tu, Bouquet? is a Frosted pale pink gold (Frost) I have used this as an all over color as well as on just the top or bottom of the eyelid complementing other MAC shadows
- Pink Freeze is a Bright pink with icy pearl (Frost) another versatile MAC shadow color that I have used alone or paired with one or two other colors depending on the effect I want
- Silverthorn is a Mid-tone grey with silver pearl (Frost) in my younger days I might consider using this as an all over color but at this point in my life I only use this color on the bottom part of my lid paired with one or two other colors that are lighter
As with all of the MAC Eye Shadows I have used, they all go on well, stay on most of the day and blend well with the other colors that I have in my collection. Since I do have many colors in my collection, my MAC Eye Shadows tend to last a long time with the exception of a few neutral colors that I tend to use more often. If you are in the mood for some new shadows, I would suggest checking out these four colors when you visit the MAC store nearest you.
Remember to save all of your used containers and recycle them! Specific shadow information found at MACCosmestics.com
