Beauty Blog: Body Care, Hands and Feet, Skin care
Are you looking for some great places to get ready for the summer in the Denver area? Well here are some Denver Spa and Denver Salon recommendations we have for you. We have personally reviewed each of these places and would recommend them to you. Prices will vary depending on where you go. If you have a favorite Denver Spa or Salon not on our list, let us know and we will have to check it out.
- The Retreat on Larimer a quick glimpse of our review...The Retreat on Larimer is located in the heart of Denver’s Ballpark District. The Retreat is truly a retreat from the stresses of everyday life. The Retreat offers a convenient location for those who live and work downtown and for those who are willing to drive for a wonderful spa experience.
An inviting staff greets you with a smile when you walk in starts off any spa experience well. With warm, neutral-colored walls and cozy lighting, you begin to feel like you are interning into your retreat for the day, afternoon or hour. The changing rooms continue to create a calming ambiance. While you wait for your masseuse, wrap yourself in your spa bathroom and slip on your spa sandals while sipping on water and reading the relaxing text they offer.
This Denver spa will take you away to your personal retreat once you enter the massage room. With the lights dim, a candle flickering, calming music playing you climb into a warm massage bed and let your masseuse do the rest. Masseuse Carly will take you on your personal retreat with very little to no talking during a deep tissue massage, your muscles will begin to thank you before Carly has even begun to do her magic. During the massage just the right amount of pressure is used to release the tension in your neck caused by too much stress related to a busy day at the office or a busy day with the kids. Either way, you will find your bliss at The Retreat on Larimer. - The Woodhouse Day Spa a glimpse of our review: When my massage therapist arrived, we moved to the third floor of this magnificent home. The room I was led to was so cute and quaint. I loved it. It had the older home feel and charm. The massage bed was in the middle of the room with a beautiful chandelier hanging above. Soft music was playing in the background while a little bit of light was peaking through the window coverings. I wanted to take a tour of this home. However it was time to get down to business and get a massage.
I was at The Woodhouse Day Spa to experience a prenatal massage, however I do believe that any massage at The Woodhouse Day Spa would be fantastic. My neck was massaged first which was perfect since I tend to keep most of my stress in my neck. The massage therapist was able to work out the knots and kinks I had there. She massaged my arms, hands, legs, feet, toes and all the places that needed. As any pregnant woman who receives a massage knows, you are not laying on your stomach with your face in the face pillow. However an experienced, good masseuse can give a pregnant woman an amazing back massage while you are on your side. This is what I experienced and am looking forward to a massage after I am pregnant at The Woodhouse Day Spa. - Revive Spa: a glimpse of our review: The Facial: The Revive Facial consisted of cleansing, exfoliating, and rehydration of the skin. However, it was not all about face during this facial. Nicole massaged my head, massaged and treated my neck and shoulders, and finally lathered up my hands with lotion and inserted them into warm gloves to rehydrate .
After my facial was finished and I exited the treatment room, Nicole met me with a cold glass of water and a smile. She escorted me to the front desk and personally “checked me out” of the spa, rather than just dropping me off at the desk with an impersonal farewell. - Massage Envy: a glimpse of our review: In the massage room we discussed the pressure I preferred and if I had any problem areas. The massage therapist left, I changed and got positioned on the massage table. The room was a little dull but there was soft music playing and the lights were dim. When my massage began I tried to relax and enjoy the work that my shoulders needed. Within a few minutes my mind was blank as I was enjoying my massage. It did not matter that it was $39, it did not matter that I was not experiencing a day spa, all that mattered was that I was getting a great massage. My 50 minutes were up before I knew it and I was left to change into my clothes and return to the front desk.
