Get a Natural Look
Beauty Blog: Make-up
We have all seen it, the women who apply too much foundation and they look fake. Their skin looks horrible and some of them look like they have the wrong color of foundation. Remember that your foundation color can change with the seasons. If you get really tan in the summer and then lighten up in the winter, you should make sure that your foundation matches the color of your skin. We have some tips for you on how to get a more natural look with your foundation.
- Make sure your foundation matches your skin. It does not matter if you use a powder or liquid - it must match your skin. If you are unsure about your foundation selection, visit a beauty counter and work with a trained professional.
- Use a makeup brush when applying foundation. Try buffing it on if you use powder and a brush will give you a smooth, even look for liquid. This provides a better look than using your fingers or a sponge with liquid foundation.
- Apply your foundation evenly to your face. If you need to cover up dark circles around your eyes, use a concealer.
If you are looking for a great foundation brush, we suggest MAC Cosmetic Brushes: for powder use #182 Brush and for liquid use #190 Brush.
