Life has been a bit busy for me these days so I have not updated my fitness blog much. However that does not mean I have not been working out. In fact I have been working out a lot and am loving the way I am starting to feel and look. My arms are starting to get some definition, my legs are toning up and my “spare tire” is getting smaller.
I have mentioned this in the past but my midsection and upper thighs is where I carry my extra weight and where I gain weight when I am pregnant. My baby is almost 6 months old and my body is starting to come back. My abs - after 2 C-Sections in two years - are starting to wake up. There are days when I feel like they are saying hello for the first time in a year!
Some of the things I am doing that are making a difference for me are running laps at the gym more, running stairs at the gym and doing more core focused exercises. Kettlebells is great for this as well as using ropes. I have taken classes at my gym using ropes. They are great for the abs. If you have never worked with large ropes at your gym, ask you instructors about them and try them out.
At this point I am no about 2 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight and I am 7 pounds away from my goal weight. I think with hard work on my part I will reach my goals by summer. Just in time to have fun in the sun with my three kids.
