The weeks have gone by and I am still on track to workout 6 days a week and eat better. I decided a great way to keep me on track and accountable was to sign up for a challenge at my gym. The challenge is to complete 5 miles a day of working out. If I run, it is mile for mile. If I do weights on my own 30 minutes is 3.5 miles but 1 hour is 5 miles. Not sure how they figured this one out but they must have a formula. If I do the yoga class that I have been doing it is 3.5 miles as well. This is being kept track of until December 21st I believe. However I am not working out 7 days a week. I think it is good to give myself a break each week. I have done an average of I would say 4 miles a day but oh well.
I missed my workout on Thursday for my birthday, I went to the spa for the day and oh what a day that was. But I made up for it on Friday with a short run and my upper body. I did find that I was weak on Friday after my day at the spa. But this week was a good week in terms of getting done what I wanted to do. I am still doing yoga once a week and I plan to still add a spinning class to the mix.
I also need to start recording my food. I need to get the Fitbook that I plan to use and then let you know how it is. I think when I record my food intake I do much better. I have also found that since I began to eat better, when I do eat bad I often feel sick to my stomach so I plan to stay on more of a healthy plan.
