Have you visited Bath and Body Works lately? Well all their stores, including Cherry Creek (as of today) may not be carrying their “new packaging” but you can find it on the web. They have decided out with the old and in with the new. They have redesigned the packaging for their Signature Collection products. We are huge fans of their Signature Collection shower gels and creams. Here is the skinny on their new products.
The Pros
Everything needs an upgrade now and then. It seems like the perfect timing with the new year coming that Bath and Body Works decides to upgrade and overall their existing packaging. Here is what we think of their new packaging.
* The new shower gel and body lotion bottles are easier to grip than the older bottles and has a classier look to it. Nice upgrade!
* The new cap is also much classier than the standard clear or black and it DOES pop up like the old ones.
* Body Splash seems to have become Fragrance Mist. New packaging is much better!
The Cons
If it is not broken, do not fix it? Isn’t that the standard saying?
* The font on the new packaging is not necessarily better. Maybe they should sick with the old font on some of the bottles and keep the new packaging.
* The size has stayed the same for the Fragrance Mist -f.n.a. Body Splash- 8 ounces for both. However the Fragrance Mist has gone up from $10.50 to $12.00 for the SAME size.
* The hand cream. The size has reduced and the price per ounce has increased. In the old bottle you got 4 oz for $12.50 and now you get 2.5oz for $10.00.
Mixed Feelings
* The new packaging it out but it is not in their Holiday Gifts. Did someone miss the memo or did they just not care that their were launching new packaging and their holiday collection at the same time and it doesn’t match? Or does Bath and Body Works have something up their “sleeve” and we just do not know it yet?
* If you do not mind the old packaging you might stock up and save. Plus you will get more for your money with some of the old items.
