I recently had the pleasure of speaking to Debra with Body Designs. Here is a little more about her and what she offers, in her own words. Check her out and see if she can help you achieve your goals.
“I am a Personal Trainer and have been for about 19 years. About 5 years ago I quit my job at a local Denver YMCA. I had bigger dreams and they were not going to happen by staying there. You see, 10 months before I quit, I was blessed with an Amazing exercise idea… and it soon became a conflict of interest. My beliefs were no longer agreeing with “traditional” exercise. So all my years of schooling were being disproved. I was seeing amazing things happen with myself as well as my clients. Neurological issues were fading away… Doctors were not finding any physical evidence that disease was present. Very exciting right!!! Oh, I forgot to mention that I was included in the people with neurological issues. The Doctors had told me that I had probably had MS since the age of 9, I am now 40 and have been MS FREE for about 2 years. This exercise is not just for people with neurological issues… Anyone and Everyone can benefit from this exercise… male or female… young or old… I’ve worked with all kinds of people… with many different goals. Here are just a few examples of what I’ve worked with… MS, Fibromyalgia, Asthma, Injury recovery, Children, Scoliosis, The Average person, Back issues, Athletic teams, Navy divers etc…
It all sounds great right!? But what is it that I do! Well, the first and foremost thing I do is teach and/or make sure that my clients are breathing correctly. Did you know that 75% of today’s population don’t breathe correctly, but they don’t realize it. Your health starts with your breathing. Oxygen is your greatest and first source of energy. It is the fuel required for the proper operation of all body systems. Only 10% of your energy comes from food and water, 90% of our energy comes from OXYGEN. Oxygen gives our body the ability to rebuild itself. Oxygen detoxifies the blood, and strengthens the immune system. The more efficiently we raise the oxygen level, the more effortlessly the body loses weight and reaches maximum energy. The key is oxygen! Deep breathing techniques, which increase oxygen to the cell, are the most important factors in living a disease free and energetic life. You will have to forgive me… I can get long winded at times, because I’m very passionate about what I do… I love my work and I love that I am able to help so many people with such diversity.
But back to what I do. Like I said, I start with the breathing and we move into the exercises. I teach you how to utilize your oxygen so that it works for you. These are some of the things you can expect: Improved posture, improved strength without stress on the joints, improved flexibility, improved endurance, improved core strength, improved balance and coordination, tightening and toning, inch loss, improved breathing, improved allergies, improved sleep, improved energy, raised metabolism, and list continues to grow.
